Bush Stop
Closed for the fund raiser, it was a great gift from the Bush Stop to African Harvest.  Thanks Jeannie and Rod!

How special is that?
The setup began early, many people from the community of Vaalwater and beyond helped with labor and sacrificed time to make this evening a huge success.

The Entertainer

Don provided some good tunes during the breaks.

The evening was an English style quiz with numerous teams competing for a trophy.

Dave was the quiz master for the evening.  The people who were not able to concentrate paid a costly fines have questions repeated.

Who could concentrate on an empty tummy?  This was the braai operated by Carlos, who managed to keep everyone happy.
At times it may have been a bit difficult to see the answer sheets.  As you can see, the ambience was great, the spirits high and a good time had by all.  Even in the dark the teams were able to complete their tasks.  Some took it much more seriously than others. Darkness

The ultimate victors.  They called themselves something like fancy knickers or the like.  Pat is holding the trophy, and the staff from the Bush Stop poses with the winners.

Is that Charles Baber?

Here are the big winners of the raffle for the evening.  This was a choice of original art work donated by Dee Schaffer.  She is a gifted artist who is now living in the Waterburg.

It took a while because this was a joint purchase of the winning ticket.  Nice choice folks!

Big Winners
The real winners

Here Jeannie poses with the real winners.  Harry and Peggy Parham accumulated needed funds to build dozens of gardens.  Remember, every garden will feed a family of 8 to 10 people.  Yippee!  What a great time.  The laughter continued through the evening until the very last person left.

Thanks to all who contributed, in every way. You are making a difference for many people!
